- Description
- The U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC) intends to issue a solicitation for personal services to provide health care services at various Department of Army Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) throughout the continental United States. The Government plans to award an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Services to be performed will be in accordance with established principles and ethics of the medical profession, the national standards established by the Joint Commission, the professional standards/po licies at the MTF, and the American Board of the applicable specialty. Services shall consist of examining, diagnosing, treating, and directing the management of both inpatients and outpatients suffering from organic disorders, injuries, and diseases. Sp ecialties may include, but are not limited to: Physician Assistant, HIV Internist, Medical Lab Technician, Family Practice Physician, Operating Room Assistant, Anesthesia Nurse Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Anesthesiologist, General Medical Offi cer, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Perfusionist, Internal Medicine Physician, Ophthalmologist, Ophthalmologist Technician, and Ophthalmologist Assistant. Primary sites for services may include, but are not limited to: Fort Carson, CO; Fort Gord on, GA; Fort Hood, TX; Fort Polk, LA, Fort Irwin, CA; Fort Campbell, KY, and Fort Sill, OK. This announcement does not constitute the solicitation. The solicitation will be released on or about 14 November 2007. The entire solicitation, including all at tachments and amendments, will be made available ONLY on the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. Telephone and faxed requests will not be honored. Once the solicitation is posted, it is the responsibility of the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal on the solicitation must have a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code. The anticipated contract period of performance will have a base year from 1 April 2008 through 30 September 2008, with four 1-year option periods.
