- Description
- Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform water intrusion repairs at U.S. Coast Guard Station Fire Island, Babylon, New York and at the Boat Maintenance Facility at U.S. Coast Guard Station Jones Beach, Freeport, New York. The solicitation consists of a Base Bid plus Two Optional Items. Base Bid Item 1 consists of roof repairs at equipment penetrations, roofing and platform replacements at the cupola, exterior door replacements, exhaust fan replacements, interior finish repairs and miscellaneous related work the Station Building at USCG Station Fire Island. Optional Items include replacement of door weatherstripping and saddles, interior finish repairs, replacement of window sealants, vinyl siding repairs and interior masonry wall repairs. Bid Item 2 consists of roofing and flashing repairs, masonry repairs, sealant replacement and miscellaneous associated work at Boat Maintenance Facility at U.S. Coast Guard Station Jones Beach. This Invitation for Bids is 100% set-aside for small business participation for which the applicable small business size standard is $31 Million average annual receipts for the preceding three fiscal years. This project is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. The applicable NAICS code is 236220. A 20% Bid Bond is required and 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required after award. The tentative bid opening date is 11 December 2007. Bid packages will be available on or about 8 November 2007 at a non-refundable charge of $52.
