- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The 700th Contracting Squadron at Ramstein AB, Germany is planning to purchase non-personal services for maintenance, repair, and inspection of elevators for the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC). The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to perform safety inspections, preventive maintenance and repair to elevators in the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC)-Ramstein Air Base, Sembach Administrative Annex, Landstuhl and Vogelweh, in a manner that will ensure continuous and safe operation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 811310 and Standard Industry Classification (SIC) Code is 7699. This is an unrestricted procurement. The Government intends to award a fixed-price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type contract with a reimbursement line item for parts. The Government intends to have a base performance period from 1 January 2008 through 30 September 2008, and four (4) option year periods. This action will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) on the Electronic Posting System (EPS, www.fbo.gov) on or about 6 November 2007. Interested parties should review these documents and provide any comments via email to this office. Questions related to this project must be submitted in writing. The government plans to use the Internet and email as its primary means of disseminating and exchanging information. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available.
