- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for procurement of 1 each Specific Absorption Rate Manikin to include Installation Kit. The Manikin is being purchased in order to maintain War Reserve Material (WRM) equipment that has been deployed. Equipment mentioned has been tested by the Army and Air Force Medical Service. No substitute equipment is allowed without prior approval and testing. Testing other equipment would not be cost effective to the government. The equipment sought is supplied by MCL Technology Ltd. 17B Woodford RD, London UK. The 311th Human Systems Wing/PKBA, Brooks City-Base TX intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (b) (4). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because MCL Technology Ltd is the only source of supply identified within the Air Force Medical Logistics Allowance Standards 887A under stock number 6910L000015A.
