- United States Coast Guard, Maintenance & Logistics Command Pacific (vpl-1) in Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for the Dry-Dock and Repairs of USCGC SWORDFISH (87358), home moorage in Port Angeles, WA, and USCGC BLUE SHARK (87360), home moorage in Everett, WA. Both vessels are 87" patrol boats. The period of performance for CGC SWORDFISH will be 05 Mar 2008 through 15 Apr 2008. Work for CGC BLUE SHARK will be accomplished during the period of 07 May 2008 through 17 Jun 2008. A geographical restriction within the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Puget Sound, WA area is applicable under these availabilities. Work may include, but is not limited to the following: Gantt Bar Chart Provide, hull plating/underwater body ultrasonic testing, propulsion shaft seals mechanical overhaul & inflatable renewal, propulsion shafting remove, inspect and reinstall, propeller clean/inspect, fathometer transducers general maintenance, calibration of various meters and gauges, sea strainers (all sizes) overhaul, sea valve (<=2.5 inches) renewal, sea valve (> 2.5 inches) overhaul, Afff engine room bilge flooding piping installation, installation of new hydraulic system, rudders and rudder stocks removal and inspection, grey water holding tank(s) clean & inspect, sewage holding tank clean & inspect, hull plating underwater body preserve (100%), rudders (exterior) preserve, cathodic protection & zinc anode renewal, deck coverings (interior polymeric) reseal, temporary services, drydock provide, sea trials, drydocking accomplish.
