- This procurement is set aside for Small Business Concerns Only. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has a requirement for dockside repairs to be performed at NOAA Marine Operations Center Atlantic in Woods Hole, MA. The performance period will be 33 calendar days with a start date on or about November 19, 2007 and ending on or about December 21, 2007. This acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the NOAA Ship DELAWARE II, a 155 foot, 30 ft beam (molded); propulsion is single screw, cruising speed 10 knots; crew size of 15. Vessel's homeport is Woods Hole, MA. DOCKSIDE BASIC ITEMS include: 1: Number 2 Tank Conversion, 2: Anchor Chain Inspection and Preservation, 3: Bridge Watertight Door Replacement, 4: Bridge Deck Covering Replacement, 5: Hydro Winch Overhaul, 6: Rope Scuttle Removal, 7: HVAC Duct Cleaning, 8: Abs Annual Load Line Inspection ? Ultrasonic Testing DOCKSIDE OPTIONAL ITEMS include: 101: Main Deck Passageway Deck Covering Replacement, 102: Abs Special Survey ? Machinery, 103: Et/SCS Lab Bench/Storage Upgrades, 104: Radio Room Refurbishment All work shall be performed in accordance with detailed specifications and referenced NOAA Standard Specifications to be provided with the solicitation. Vessel will be available for inspection September 26, 2007 at 09:00 at Northeast Marine Support Facility, 166 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA. Arrangements for inspections can be made by contacting Kenneth Marston at 508-495-2347. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. This posting will appear on or about September 5, 2007. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract using Best Value, Request for Proposal (RFP) evaluating past performance, price and price related factors. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Telephone requests will not be honored.
