Description
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources interested in providing Base Operations Support Services for the New Campus East. In compliance with the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Act, NGA will consolidate operations and relocate people and functions from current locations throughout the National Capital Region (NCR) to a standalone campus, New Campus East located at the Ft. Belvoir Engineering Proving Grounds (EPG) in Springfield, VA by 15 September 2011. NCE will be located on a site of approximately 130 acres. The construction of buildings of the campus will occur in a phased manner, starting in 2008, with a goal to have a total of approximately 2,419,000 gross square feet of buildings occupied by September 15, 2011. NCE will support a mix of training-conference, auditorium, computer laboratories, library, and command center and utility plants. The campus will also include structures and on-grade parking. The campus amenities will include fitness center, parking (structure, non-structured), and warehouse, loading dock, guard station and access control points, central utility plant and visitor center. Site infrastructure includes connecting roads, bridges, access points from major highways and interchanges, and storm water management system. Utility infrastructure includes water, sanitary sewer, electrical generators, and natural gas, HVAC and communications systems.
