Description
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN), Charleston intends to issue solicitation N65236-07-R-0180 as a sole source procurement to Ultra Electronics Advanced Tactical Systems, Inc., 3300 Duval Road, Suite 200, Austin, TX 78759. Ultra Electronics is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the ADSI product line which contains proprietary software and hardware. Ultra will provide continued support for Data Link Systems and Communication Systems Engineering Services and Depot Level Support. Ultra Electronics possesses the unique experience and specialized knowledge of the ADSI required for installation/training. The ADSI systems being installed and upgraded are compatible with existing systems on the platforms (tactical data links, SIPRNET, INTEL, etc.) and has been certified for use in the exchange of Tactical Data Link information. No other system can currently meet the requirements for compatibility and certification. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A Commercial (FAR Part 12), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price type contract, with a base period of two year???s and two (2) one-year options is anticipated. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A sole source solicitation will be issued. The solicitation will be transmitted to the sole source contractor by means other than posting it on the SPAWAR ECC Business Opportunities web site.
