- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Crane Division. You may also access information on the NSWC Crane Division web site at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division plans to award a Firm-Fixed Price type contract for the commercial procurement of a Thermal Analysis System. This is being issued as a sole source to TA Instruments ? Waters LLC, 109 Lukens Drive, New Castle, DE 19720. The basis for restricting competition is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to trade-in modules toward this procurement (similar to a one-for-one exchange). Inspection and acceptance will be at destination. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane website, FedBizOpps, and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane website, FedBizOpps, and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. This solicitation will be available on or about 31 October 2007 at the following address: FedBizOps http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil, and the Crane webpage at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. The offeror must download from the www site listed. Offer must be submitted in the format specified in the solicitation. Submitting a bid from the NECO website by clicking on ?Submit Bid? does not guarantee offers will be received by the proper person in the correct format. It is the responsibility of the offeror to download the RFP and to submit offers to the POC at NSWC Crane. NAICS Code 334516; FSC 6640.
