Description
The Topographic Engineering Center (TEC) has a requirement to develop and procure a Global Positioning System  Survey (GPS-S). The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to determine if there are sources capable of satisfying the governmen ts requirements. No proposals are being requested or accepted under this RFI. Feedback addressing the clarity, feasibility, scope and potential alternative means of meeting the governments requirements are sought. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 334220 (Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment manufacturing). The business size standard is 750. Your response should identify your business size (large or small) in relation to this NAICS Code . Contractor personnel will require DOD security clearances at least at the SCI level for key personnel. Handling of material up to SCI level is required. SCI Facility Clearance is required. Storage Clearances of at least the SCI level are required. Capab ilities Package: TEC is assessing the existence of sources and is requesting capability packages from industry on the requirements below. Responses must be limited to no more than 25 pages. This is a Request for Information (RFI) for products or technical capabilities for a GPS based survey system. The AN/GSN-13 GPS Survey System, used by Army Engineer Topographic Surveyors, is reaching end of life. Needed capabilities must include: Compliance with DOD Precise Positioning Service (PPS) policy, including Se lective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) requirements; Migration path to M-Code; Absolute position accuracy: ? 4m horizontal, ? 4m vertical; Static differential position accuracy: ? 5mm + 1ppm horizontal, ? 10mm + 1ppm vertical RTK differential po sition accuracy: ? 2cm+ 1ppm horizontal, ? 4 cm + 1ppm vertical and Compatibility with Army communications equipment. The requested information must includes: Capability of your product or technology to meet the needed capabilities outlined above; Descript ion of the maturity of your technology to meet the needed capabilities outlined above; Summary of any testing which supports the capability and maturity of your technology; and Outline of the tasks and effort needed to take the current state of your techno logy to a qualified, fieldable product. Interested Sources are encouraged to submit product literature in response to this RFI. Any submission or such product literature or catalog cut sheets will be treated separate from, and will have no bearing on, any subsequent evaluation or proposals submitted in response to any resulting future formal Request for Proposal (RFP). TEC will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any costs associated with submission or comments. RESPONSES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 15 NOV 2007, 10 AM.
