- Description
- This is a notice of Intent to award a Sole Source contract for maintenance agreements under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to American Science and Engineering, Inc. (AS&E). A Justification and Approval for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. AS&E is the manufacturer of model number 101Z and 66Z X-ray Inspection Systems equipment, the only known source of the parts, and has the only trained certified engineers to work on the equipment. The services are commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 2 and are to be purchased under the simplified acquisition test program in FAR Subpart 13.5. The above named vendor is believed to be the only source of AS&E service and maintenance. This notice of intent is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing by mail, fax, or e-mail to Ms. Phyllis Lewis no later than Noon Tuesday, November 6, 2007.
