- Description
- The Indian Health Service (IHS), Division of Engineering Services, Dallas (DES), intends to award a Sole Source Contract to Prosec Protection Systems, Inc., Lakewood, New Jersey, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253? (1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements to the design, supply, installation, commissioning, and associated training for an Umbilical Cord, Clamp Type, MyChild Infant Abduction Protection System for the Hopi Health Care Center (HHCC), Polacca, Arizona. Prosec Protection Systems is the only known source that can supply an Umbilical Cord, Clamp Type, Infant Abduction Protection System. The government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill this requirement. A SOLICITATION IS NOT AVAILABLE; THEREFORE, WRITTEN OR VERBAL REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF A SOLICITATION RELATED TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE HONORED. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this procurement shall be submitted by way of the internet to barry.prince@ihs.gov, or may be sent in writing to Barry J. Prince, Contracting Assistant, Indian Health Service, Division of Engineering Services, Dallas, 1301 Young Street, Suite 1071, Dallas, Texas 75202-5433, by no later than November 6, 2007.
