- Description
- Sources sought to produce "Wool Felt" for all services including Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard. This "Wool Felt" is use in Coat Fronts for Military Dress Coats. The Felt shall be in accordance with ASTM D 2475, classification CF2 or CF1, and tested in accordance with ASTM D 461. (Previously identified as 11a2 of C-F-206). The Felt shall have a minimum of 30% wool and a maximum of 5% of 1,1, 1-trichloroethane extract. The Weight shall be 3.04 + 0.12 oz/yd2 and the thickness shall be 0.030 + .005 inch.
