Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Wiesbaden (USACCE-W) is conducting a market survey for the purpose of identifying sources that may be interested in providing armed guard services in Kosovo. The USACCE-W intends to award an Indefinite Delivery/Req uirements type contract for the provision of uniformed armed security guards at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. The contract shall be for a period of one base year with two one-year option periods. The estimated number of Guards is a maximum of 170. A minimum staffing of 42 armed positions will be required. 33 of these positions are 24 hours a day, seven days a week (24/7), 7 of these positions are 14 hours a day, seven days a week (14/7), and 2 of these positions are 12 hours a day, seven days a week (12/7), and will include at a minimum gate/access control guards, roving patrols, observation posts, operational support personnel, and 1 unarmed Project Manager and 1 unarmed Logistician/Property Book Manager. Only United States citizens may perform duties under the contract, additionally some Supervisor Guard personnel will require a Secret Security clearance. Billeting and other logistical support for the guards shall be provided by the Government. To be considered for contract award the responsible contractor shall require a Security Facility Clearance. As stated above, the USACCE-W is attempting to identify sources that could carry out this requirement. Interested parties should contact Mr. Philip Coyne, Contract Specialist, e-mail: philip.coyne3@eur.army.mil, and at the same time provide the following i nformation: - Has your firm ever provided armed guard services of the same or near quantity under one contract using US citizens in the past 3 years? - Does your firm have experience providing armed guard services in an overseas environment? - What is your minimum mobilization period to recruit, hire, train, and locate the workforce in Kosovo? - Do you currently have or can you obtain the required clearances? - Would you participate/request an on-site pre-proposal conference?
