- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces its intention to negotiate one firm fixed-price award in accordance with FAR Subpart 12 for laboratory services for antiretroviral drug resistance and subtype surveillance from selected HIV-1 strains. The mechanism, genotypic characterization, shall be performed on all specimens and involves the direct genetic sequencing of the polymerase-protease area of the HIV-1 genome. The Contractor must be able to receive, store, and process specimens including data analysis and reports. CDC anticipates an one15-month base year and possibly four 12-month option periods for a potential of 63 months in total. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 621511 and the small business size standard is $12.5 million. This is not a Request for Proposals. The intention of this notice is to notify potential offerors that Solicitation No. 2008-N-09685 will be available for download on the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov on or by October 31, 2007. This will be full and open competition. Additionally, all amendments and responses to questions will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. All questions must be submitted in writing to Betty Vannoy at bbv9@cdc.gov. All responsible sources must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at www.ccr.gov. No telephone calls will be accepted. It is the sole responsibility of the offeror to continually view this website for any amendments made to this notice.
