Description

The U. S. Geological Survey, WRD, Reston, Virginia has a requirement to obtain a high temperature C-reduction elemental analyzer. The Government intends to make award on a sole source basis to Thermo Electron for this requirement in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(b). Thermo Electron is uniquely qualified to provide the products required as they are the only manufacturer. The high temperature C-reduction elemental analyzer exceeds the USGS requirements for projects requiring chemical and isotopic analyses. There is no written solicitation for this requirement. This award will be made on or about October 18, 2007 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000.00. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334516. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No additional synopsis will be published.
