- Description
- It is the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis a requirement for upgrades to the Erosion Strip on a quantity of thirty-nine (39) each AH-64 APACHE Tail Rotor Blades, NSN: 1650-01-312-2387, P/N: 7-311422050-7. Upon completion of upgr ades the blades are to be shipped to Boeing, Mesa as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). This requirement is in support of the United Arab Emirates repair and return operational readiness APACHE aircraft program. Authority cited: Statutory authority p ermitting other than full and open competition for this requirement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by paragraph 6.302-1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) entitled - Only one source or a limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The existing unique design capability, engineering skills and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source requires acquisiton of the parts required from the approved source only. The approved sou rce retains the necessary data, manufacturing knowledge, and or technical data that are not economically available to the government. This acquisition will be awarded to Composite Technology Inc., 1001 Avenue R, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. All approved, res ponsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency.
