Description

The VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN, Chemistry Laboratory has a requirement for Tri-level Liquid Controls, for multiple blood and urine chemistry and immunochemistry tests to be used on multiple laboratory analyzers. Controls required include: Cardiac Markers, Immunochemistry, and Urine Chemistry. The VAMC has previously tested and used Liquichek controls as manufactured by Bio-Rad Diagnostics Laboratories, Hercules, California. The VAMC Minneapolis, MN, will accept Liquichek or equal products. Controls must have a minimum of 30 day stability after opening of vial and must be of a human CSF based origin, bovine based controls are not acceptable. Solicitation number VA-263-08-RQ-0023 has been assigned. Bid documents will be available on or about October 16, 2007. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price contract with a Base Year and four option years will be awarded. Total contract period will not exceed five years. Solicitation and award procedures under Federal Acquisition Regulations, FAR 12 and FAR 13 will be followed for this procurement. FSC Code 6550 applies. The NAICS code is 325413 In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing (formerly SIC 2835). The small business size standard is 500 employees. Response to solicitation will be due no later than 4:30pm CT, October 30, 2007.
