- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Naval Air Warfare Center Lakehurst is requesting information pertaining to the Mobile Electric Power Plant (MEPP). The new commercial or modified commercial Land-based MEPP will replace the existing NC-10. General specifications are that the new MEPP shall be a mobile, trailer mounted, self contained, diesel powered, electric power plant that supplies electrical power to aircraft during ground maintenance operations. The unit shall be capable of providing multiple outputs of 115 VAC, three phase, 400 Hz; 28 VDC; and 270 VDC, and the unit shall be capable of delivering a maximum output of 120 KVA, 20 volt, and 270 volt DC. The unit shall have a 3 tier engine. Please provide commercial pamphlets, operating and maintenance manuals, or any other documentation that would describe a unit to meet the above requirements. Additionally, it requested that interested sources include estimated cost information in their submission for projected unit costs. It is anticipated that if a solicitation is issued it would be for a quantity of approximately 405 units, FY08 - FY13. The Government will not release any information marked with a Proprietary legend, received in response to this RFI, to any firms, agencies, or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.
