- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Logistics Office in Long Beach California intends to enter into a sole source contract with B. Braun Medical Inc. 824 12th Ave, Bethlehem, PA 18018-3524. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1- where only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The incorporated clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-19 and 2005-20. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This BOS announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued and a separate written solicitation will NOT be available. The procurement is for annual preventive maintenance service, plus all labor, parts and travel to maintain to manufacturer specifications government-owned B. Braun dialysis machines. The following dialysis machines shall be covered under this service agreement: 1. EE 27313 SN: 7175, 2. EE 27314 SN: 7217, 3. EE 23715 SN: 140685, 4. EE 27316 SN: 7564, 5. EE 27317 SN: 7565, 6. EE 27318 SN: 7574, 7. EE 27319 SN: 7575, 8. EE 27320 SN: 7577, 9. EE 27321 SN: 7579, 10. EE 27322 SN: 7580, 11. EE 27323 SN: 7581, 12. EE 27324 SN: 7582, 13. EE 31063 SN: 22454, 14. EE 31066 SN: 22455, 15. EE 31065 SN: 22456, 16. EE 31068 SN: 22458, 17. EE 31067 SN: 22460, and 18. EE 31064 SN: 22461. The maintenance services shall be performed at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System located at 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract has been processed. All information received and responses to this notice shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and it shall be exclusively at the discretion of the Government. The Government shall consider all proposals received by 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on Thursday, October 18, 2007. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries shall be accepted.
