- Description
- The Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Pollock, Louisiana intends to make a single award for the removal of grease and food waste from the institutions grease traps at these locations. The place of performance is the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex, located at 1000 Air Base Rd. Pollock LA, 71467. The grease traps are located at the rear Food Service Dock of each facility. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 562998 (Size Standard: $6.0 million). The Contractor will be required to perform removal services of grease and food waste every sixteen(16) weeks for FCC Pollock. The contractor will pump out and clean the grease traps and dispose of the waste in accordance with Environmental Protection Agency, city/county, State, and Federal laws and/or regulations. All licenses, permits, and fees related to this shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. All materials located within the container upon removal become the property and responsibility of the contractor to dispose of in a lawful manner. Two (2) grease traps at the USP hold approximately 8,000 gallons each. The grease trap at the Prison Camp holds approximately 4,000 gallons. The grease trap at the FCI holds approximately 5,000 gallons. This work must be completed within three (3) days. Cost of pick up and disposal per gallon shall be included on billings. It is anticipated there will be 4 services per year. The schedule time for service is weekdays between the hours of 730 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. local time. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation . The contract period shall consist of a 12 month period. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The solicitation will be available on/about October 11, 2007 and will be distributed solely through the General Service?s Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about October 22, 2007; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered. See Note 1.
