- Description
- The United States Coast Guard (USCG), within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of The Engineering Services Division (ESD) intends to solicit for calibration and/or calibration and repair of a variety of electronic equipment and mechanical tools. The contractor can either operate a certified/accredited lab within a 150 mile radius of Aircraft Repair and Supply Center to allow for economical transport or a mobile calibration lab. This acquisition is a total 100% small business set-aside, NAICS is 334515, and size standard is 500 employees. Contractors shall be one of the following: ISO 17025 certified, the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), the American National Standards Institute/National Conference of Standards Laboratories (ANSI/NCSL) Z540 accreditation or Joint Naval Audit Certification (JNAC). The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price type contract with a 5-year period of performance consisting of a base year and four 1-year option periods. The contract will be awarded using the procedures of FAR Part 12, Part 15 and the Best Value Sources Selection procedures for this acquisition. The solicitation and all associated documents will be available on or about 25 October 2007. Hard Copies of the solicitation will NOT be issued. Telephone requests will not be honored. A closing date for receipt of offers will be established upon issuance of the solicitation. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the EPS system for the RFP and all subsequent amendments. Solicitation document will ONLY be made available via the internet at www.eps.gov via FedBizzOpps. Contractors are encouraged to register in the FedBizOpps ?Vendor Notification Service?
