- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to issue a Sole Source contract to General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) Tallahassee Operations, 2930 Commonwealth Blvd, Tallahassee FL 32303, for one Multi-Processing Unit (MPU) prototype that utilize Stirling Cooling technology. This requirement is to establish a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract in response to a Rapid Technology Transfer (RTT) of Stirling Cooling technology into two MPUs, under authority of FAR 6.302. Only GDLS meets the requirements for this acquisition, which include, but are not limited to, the contractor being at a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 6; that no modification of COTS computer boards is required; that the contractor can satisfy the 600 watt heat rejection capability; and that the contractor can demonstrate the capability to operate within a 1 meter watertight sealed chassis of 38 x 34.5 x 33.6 cm and weighing less than 90lbs. This is not a request for expressions of interest, proposals or quota tions. No solicitation exists. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Numbered Note 22 applies to this acquisition.
