- This work consists of Rental of Hopper Dredge with Attendant Plant and Operators for Maintenance Dredging of shoal material from the Entrance Channel at Manatee Harbor. Project Depth is 40 feet Mean Lower Low Water (M.L.L.W). The contract will requir e bottom dump placement of dredged material in the designated Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS), located approximately 34 miles from the project site. The order of work is as directed by the Contracting Officer, and dredging may occur anywhere w ithin the project limits. This contract will also require turbidity monitoring, endangered species observer/monitoring, and possible sea turtle trawling and relocation. This contract requires use of Silent Inspector System for hopper dredge monitoring. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on or about October 12, 2007 with proposals due on or about November 13, 2007. COAST GUARD CERTIFICATION OF VESSELS IS REQUIRED. THIS SOLICITATION IS UNRE STRICTED. There will be a price preference for certified HUBZone small business concerns that comply with the requirements in the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19.1307. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS: Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance and price.
