- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) MODIFICATION. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Overcoming Barriers to Employment of People with Disabilities 1. QUESTION: Under number 4.2 there is a reference to a page limit of 15 pages, including annexes. Can we assume this means resumes? RESPONSE: THE 15 PAGES OF INFORMATION DO NOT INCLUDE RESUMES. 2. QUESTION: Can we instead provide biographical information on the proposed staff instead of submitting resumes? RESPONSE: YES. BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION ON PROPOSED STAFF IS ACCEPTABLE AND SHALL NOT EXCEED THREE PAGES. THE THREE PAGES WILL NOT BE INCLUDED AS PART OF THE 15 PAGES OF INFORMATION. 3. QUESTION: Is there any guidelines for font size, single or double spacing, and margin spacing? RESPONSE: AS THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI), SUBMITTERS ARE EXPECTED TO USE STANDARD FORMATTING OF INFORMATION TO RESPOND TO THE RFI WHICH INCLUDES A FONT SIZE OF 10-PITCH OR LARGER, EITHER SINGLE OR DOUBLE SPACING ACCEPTABLE WITH ONE-INCH MARGINS. 4. QUESTION: Would the Government consider making this a small business set-aside or give extra points to small businesses if a solicitation were issued? RESPONSE: THIS WILL BE CONSIDERED UPON EVALUATION OF THE INFORMATION SUBMITTED FROM THE RFI. 5. QUESTION: Under number 1 in the Introduction it says firms must have the ability ?to provide an estimated total cost for completing such tasks described below.? There is no mention of a cost estimate any where else. Is costing information required in our response? RESPONSE: YES. THE PURPOSE OF THIS RFI IS TO OBTAIN INFORMATION ON THE AVAILABILITY OF THESE SERVICES AND THE ESTIMATED COSTS. THIS RFI REQUESTS ESTIMATED COST INFORMATION FOR BUDGETING PURPOSES. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. 6. QUESTION: What is the DOT estimate of the level of effort for this procurement? RESPONSE: THE ESTIMATED LEVEL OF EFFORT IS TO BE DETERMINED FROM THE INFORMATION RECEIVED THROUGH THIS RFI. 7. QUESTION: In terms of an oral presentation, are you looking for a sample presentation related to disability policy research, an outline of an oral presentation that would correspond to our written response, or something else? RESPONSE: THE SUBMITTER SHALL PROVIDE AN OUTLINE OF THE ORAL PRESENTATION. 8. QUESTION: Would this oral presentation be considered part of our 15 page allotment? RESPONSE: THE ORAL PRESENTATION OUTLINE SHALL NOT EXCEED THREE PAGES AND IS NOT INCLUDED AS PART OF THE 15 PAGES OF INFORMATION. End of questions and responses. Responders to this RFI shall submit an electronic copy of their response to Clementine.caudle-wr@dot.gov. Responses shall be in Microsoft Word or Abode Acrobat (.pdf) format.
