Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for repair services for Power Supply Modulators (PSM), P/N 1764, NSN 6130-01-525-9960 with an estimated annual quantity of 20 per year. The requirement includes a base period and option provisions to renew for four additional 1-year periods. The National Airway Systems Engineering Group (ATO-W) modified the original Airport Surface Detection Equipment (ASDE-3) to incorporate the PSM as part of the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) in June 2005. This equipment monitors Airport Surface operations (Ground Movements of Aircraft) and provides an effective means of directing and moving surface traffic. The PSM contains high-powered pulse traveling wave tube (TWT) amplifiers, which replaced the grid modulators and inverter assemblies with each of the two transmitter channels. These repair services are only known to be available from Quarterwave Corporation, Rohnert Park, CA, because they hold the proprietary data rights and repair specifications for this item. The government does not have the test capability, evaluation criteria, or technical documentation available to allow other sources to repair these items. To receive consideration as a potential repair source, any other interested party must provide in writing a complete set of system specification drawings, all required standards and testing specifications, test plans, part lists, and proof of rights to use the data. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. Vendors must respond directly to the contract specialist identified. Interested parties who can comply with and meet all of the requirements and have access to OEM data called out in this market survey must respond with their documentation in writing to: Federal Aviation Administration Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center Attn: AMQ-210/Brandon Iven P.O. Box 25082 Oklahoma City, OK 73125 Mark responses to this survey with Market Survey File AC-07-58650, to arrive by October 11, 2007.
