- This solicitation is to obtain administrative support services on a long-term (not temporary) basis across all of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Institutes, Divisions, Centers, and Offices. This requirement is being solicited as a Commercial Service as defined by FAR Part 12. This is a new requirement and there is no incumbent. The potential Contractor(s) for this acquisition will be required to provide up to 800 administrative support personnel gradually over a 5 year period on a Task Order basis. Services required will be performed in a scientific research environment; therefore, administrative personnel should have some experience or familiarity working in such a field. The award from this solicitation is expected to be a multi-award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract, with a one (1) year period of performance and four (4) one-year option periods. NIH anticipates to award between three (3) and seven (7) contracts as a result of the solicitation. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business (see Numbered Note 1) with a size standard of $6.5 Million under NAICS Code 561110--Office Administrative Services. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is October 2007. All interested responsible Small Business vendors are encouraged to submit an offer. The solicitation, and any documents related to this procurement, will be available over the Internet at the FedBizOpps website (www.fbo.gov). Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
