- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office is issuing a request for information (RFI) for Education and Training Services to support the Naval Service Training Command (NSTC), Great Lakes, IL. This announcement is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This RFI is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Responses to the RFI will not serve as proposals, bids, or offers, which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. NSTC is requesting information from interested parties that are capable of providing training/curriculum development in Learning Strategies, Learning Management Systems and eLearning. This training will be required to address the modernization and development of current Naval Accession Training through a variety of media, delivery platforms and methodologies. NSTC is seeking valid, reliable integrated approaches to modernize and enhance Naval Accession Training in a variety of different avenues, including but not limited to, Learning Strategies, Learning Management Systems, and eLearning. Interested companies/organizations must demonstrate that they are capable of providing a Learning Management Systems that are designed to track and integrate web-based training to personal training records. In addition, we are seeking interested parties that are capable of providing Instructional Strategies for adult learners. NSTC would like a training curriculum that is geared around simulation development, game development, Virtual World development, and Assessment/Learning gains assessment based on existing Naval curriculum. A copy of the Naval curriculum is available upon request to the Contracting Department. All responding sources shall provide a summary of company capabilities including organization name, address, a description of facilities, personnel, and past experience. It is also required to provide a point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number, and CAGE Code. All responding sources must submit their responses no later than 31 October 2007 to the Contract Specialist. When available, the RFI will be posed at the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) Web site www.neco.navy.mil. Responses to the RFI are required, in writing, to Anita Spriggs, Contract Specialist, Code 270.1E, FISC Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office, Building 2B, 700 Robbins Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111-5083. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 611710, and the applicable size standard is $6.5 million.
