Description
A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate 8(a), HubZone or SDVSB contractors for this proposed contract for a Competitive Set-Aside Award. The proposed contract will be for Construction of an Army Reserve Center (ARC) to r eplace the existing ARC in Ellsworth, WI. This facility will house the 652nd Engineer Company. The project will provide a 100-member training facility with administrative, educational, assembly, library, learning center, vault, weapons simulator, and phy sical fitness areas. The maintenance shop will provide work bays and maintenance administrative support. Primary facilities include land acquisition, construction of an ARC training building, Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS), unheated storage buildi ng, and organizational parking. This project is planned for advertisement in March 2008 with award scheduled in May 2008. Contract duration is estimated at 519 days. NAICS is 236220. The size standard is $31 million. The estimated cost range is between $5, 000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. All interested 8(a), HubZone or SDVSB businesses should notify this office in writing by mail or fax by 18 October 2007, 4:00 pm, local time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of company as a 8(a) , HubZone or SDVSB business, (2) Past Experience- Describe completed projects that are similar in size, scope to the proposed project, the percentage of self-performed work and how that was accomplished, (3) Capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollar amount listed above, and (4) a statement verifying the contractor will perform at least 20% or more of the work and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: If qualified 8(a), HubZone or SDVSB business firms do not respond, thi s planned contract action will be converted to full and open competition.
