- The TACOM LCMC is seeking potential sources of supply to produce the Engineer Mission Module Water Distributor. The purpose of this announcement is to provide offers advance notification of our intention to procure the Engineer Mission Module Water Distributor and identify interested offerors. A Purchase Description (PD) and Market Investigation Questionnaire have been posted to the TACOM LCMC Warren Contracting Business Opportunities website at http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/ssn/sources.htm We invite industry to respond to the Market Investigation Questionnaire by November 13, 2007. The Engineer Mission Module Water Distributor shall be demountable, compatible 2800 gallon units capable of repeated transport, operation and use with the Load Handling System type truck and associated trailers. When loaded on a truck or trailer the Engin eer Mission Module Water Distributor will provide a means of spreading measured amounts of water for dust control, applying soil additives and dust control chemicals, providing additional water and fire fighting capability for fire fighting teams, and op erating as a wash rack facility. The Engineer Mission Module Water Distributor shall be able to be transported and perform these functions throughout the mission profile. The Engineer Mission Module Water Distributor must be certified for the transport o f non-potable water over public highways and meet all EPA, SAE, DOT, OSHA, FMVSS, and FMCSR requirements applicable at the time of manufacture. Our intention is to procure approximately 370 Engineer Mission Module Water Distributors on a firm fixed price basis.
