- Description
- The Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center at Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) has a requirement to purchase Furan SO2, Epoxy SO2, or Furan Warmbox zircon washed (or equivalent) sand cores with rigging and venting necessary to fill the part cavity. Part cavity must be able to produce a part, which meets the requirements identified in the drawing supplied with the solicitation. Contractor will be responsible for tooling design, manufacture, and machinery adaptation needed to produce acceptable castings. Tool design and manufacture will be done using 3D model supplied by RIA. Any tooling supplied under this contract will become the property of RIA. The core manufacturer will be responsible for replacement of broken cores received by RIA. Core price w ill be FOB Destination. Delivery will commence 12 weeks after receipt of contract award. The proposed contract will be a three-year IDIQ with service and supply components. Projected minimum will be one core design and 3600 finished parts. Projected ma ximum with be three core designs and 19,200 finished parts for each design. CAUTION: This solicitation and any amendments will be issued electronically to the AFSI web site (https://acquisition.army.mil). Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Interested p arties must periodically access the internet address in order to obtain the solicitation and any amendments. Failure to obtain amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of offers may render your offer nonresponsive and r esult in rejection of the offer.
