- Description
- This project consists of: 1) hazardous fuels reduction and slash treatment, 2) logging and removal of sawtimber. These activities will take place on approximately 397 acres of Forest Service land in the Pikes Peak Ranger District of the Pike and San Isabel National Forest. The work units are located in Teller County Colorado approximately 6 miles northwest of Woodland Park. The estimated quantity of sawtimber to be removed is 872 CCF of Ponderosa Pine and 549 CCF of Douglas Fir; an unestimated amount of Product Other than Log (POL) will be available as timber subject to agreement. Approximately 1.6 miles of temporary roads will need to be constructed and road maintenance will be required on approximately 3.88 miles of road. The NAICS is 115310 and the small business size standard is $16.5 million. Solicitation AG-82X9-S-07-0106 will be issued and posted on this website on or around 4/30/2007. The solicitation will be set aside for small business. Any responsible small business may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The forest service anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract utilizing best value techniques and stewardship authority. The period of performance will be 1 year from date of contract award.
