Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR SOLICITATION. THIS IS AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST ONLY. This notice is for information gathering only, and is a market research tool to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to issuing of the Request for Qualification (RFQ). The majority of the work at Los Alamos National Laboratory is ultimately considered to be R&D in nature. Therefore, the Architectural and Engineering Services may include, but not limited to, engineering studies, preliminary planning, conceptual designs, final designs, construction inspections, engineering reviews, submittal reviews, design build performance specifications, cost estimating, process system design, nuclear analysis, and system design, lightning protection design, seismic analysis, instrumentation and controls design, safety analysis, R&D equipment installations, and environmental studies. Los Alamos National Security, LLC (LANS) is seeking A-E and Engineering small business subcontractors that are NQA-1 certified, and have an approved Foreign Ownership, Control and Influence (FOCI), or a FOCI that can be reinstated by June 1, 2008. LANS anticipates that teaming/partnering arrangements will be necessary to meet the full range of support requirements. One particular focus is the use of small A-E firms capable of performing standard or routine A-E tasks. Be advised that LANS intends to share information on qualified small businesses with all potential offerors in order to promote partnering and teaming and improve the potential for a total small business set-aside acquisition. Mark any information that you do not wish to be shared with others as confidential or proprietary. It is the offeror?s responsibility to assure that its teaming/partnering arrangement meets the small business definition requirements of the Small Business Administration.
