- Amendment 0001 to Provide Additional Information Questions and Answers, 1 October 2007 Combined Synopsis/Solicitation H92222-07-R-1023 1. Q: Is SOCOM open to consider alternative electronic charting applications other than Transas, such as Offshore Systems ECPINS-M which is being use don Sealion II, Stiletto, and other combat craft in NECC? A: Yes, we will entertain alternative electronic charting applications other than the Transas. 2. Q: I?ve just begun reviewing the subjection solicitation and I am unfamiliar with the rack type/dimensions called out in it. Can you provide definition of the MK V SOC rack dimensions and mounting provisions? My team here will be in a better position to respond when I can define the box and mounting a bit better for them. A: The ?rack? is a standard 19 inch EIA Rack. Existing on the boats manufactured by A & J Manufacturing Company, Tustin CA. 3. Q: I see the RFP for the networded computers states that the new equipment should use the existing cables and mounts; can you provide information regarding who supplied the original equipment (if contractor?name, contract number, award date, estimated max value)? ? A: The current computers were manufactured by Valhalla Enterprises (VEI) of Fort Lauderdale FL and Innovative Business Solutions Inc. (IBSi) of Clearwater FL. The contract number, award date, and estimated max are not relevant to providing a proposal under this solicitation. The cables and connectors are standard Mil-Spec Circular Connectors: MIL-DTL-38999 series III (quick disconnects).
