Description
DESCRIPTION: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) BEING RELEASED PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATIONS (FAR) PART 10 MARKET RESEARCH. The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) is issuing this RFI solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes. The goal is for the Government is to establish a service support center that will procure all office furniture for DIA. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responding party's expense. At this time, proprietary information is not being requested, and respondents shall refrain from providing proprietary information in response to this RFI. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any further RFP. Currently, DIA?s furniture acquisition process involves the following office equipment and furniture manufacturers: American Seating, Teknion LLC, Herman Miller Inc., Knoll Inc., Indiana Desk, H O N, Gunlocke and Steel Case. This list may be expanded as requirements change. To meet the goal of consolidating the furniture procurement into a ?one stop shop? service center, DIA intends to solicit and award a Requirements Contract in Feb/March 2008 timeframe. In order to maintain compatibility with existing furnishings throughout the DIA regional offices, the contractors must be able to establish working relationships with the manufacturers/product lines identified above. The contractor(s) shall provide office design services, systems and executive furniture, and reconfiguration/installation services throughout the National Capital Region (NCR). Contractors must be able to meet security requirements for working in the NCR, such as the Pentagon, Clarendon, and Bolling Air Force Base. This may require personnel with a TS/SCI clearance. Vendors should send email comments/questions or other pertinent information regarding the government?s request for information to the attention of Mr. Leon N. Patton, Jr. at Leon.Patton@dia.mil and Ms. Chon Cheong at Chon.Cheong@dia.mil. Also, vendors should copy Ms. Carmen Hamilton at Carmen.Hamilton@dia.mil on all correspondence. Vendors are requested to reply no later than 15 October 2007.
