Description
MARKET SURVEY- Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & IMF intends to award multiple-award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for maintenance and repair work on U.S. Navy ships, submarines and other vessels or craft at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Specific details of labor, materials, equipment and other applicable Government requirements will be specified in fixed price individual Delivery Orders to be issued by C400 PHNSY & IMF Contracting Officer. PHNSY & IMF will manage work assignments and priorities via Contract Surveillance Representatives (CSRs) who will be zone managers or shop general foremen. PHNSY & IMF Contracting Officer?s Representative (COR) will effect coordination with the contractor and will validate contractor timekeeping and expense reports. Contracting Officer will approve progress payment billings. Contractors must have office and work facilities on Oahu or provide a Remote Site Plan acceptable to the Government. Contractors will provi de individual Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) for contractor personnel. Contractor personnel must be U.S. citizens, able to obtain Controlled Industrial Area (CIA) access from PHNSY Security Office. It is intended to have these multiple award contracts in place for contract work to begin in July 2008. Contract duration is intended to be a base year plus four option years. There is no guaranteed minimum dollar amount to successful offerors. NAICS Code for this contract work is 336611. These will be Walsh-Healy contracts. Trades that may be included in the industrial support delivery orders includes: On-site Supervisor, Electrician, Pipefitter, Sheetmetal Worker, Welder/Burner, Firewatch, Shipfitter, Painter, Sandblaster, Insulator/Lagger, Rigger, Inside Machinist, Outside Machinist, Tank Cleaner/Laborer, Marine Chemist, and Gas Free Competent Person. This synopsis is for information purposes only, and to conduct a market survey to determine the extent of interested potential small business contractors.
