Description

THIS REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST IS TIME SENSITIVE. RESPONSES MUST BE SENT BY EMAIL TO ANNE RIMBERT (AHRIMBE@SANDIA.GOV) THE CONTRACTING SELECTION OFFICER. DO NOT SEND ANY RESPONSES OR QUESTIONS TO POSTING AGENT D.V. ROSEBOROUGH. SUMMARY SPECIFICATION: Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) The SEM should: 1. At least have a 400 millimeter chamber or larger (area to scan); 2. At least have 100 electrical feed-throughs or more; 3. Have the ability to do EBIC (Electron Beam Induced Current), RCI (Resistive Contrast Imaging), and CIVA (Charge Induced Voltage Alteration); 4. For passive voltage contrast (tool needs to have a fast TV scan rate, >10 frames/sec preferably 20-30frames/sec) as well was several selectable slow scan rates 4-30 seconds/frame). 5. Ability to change beam current (pico amp up to micro amp); 6. Have a beam energy of 100-200 volts up to 30 kilovolts; 7. Have a working distance of 8-10 millimeter Z-axis (should be high enough to put something large in the chamber); 8. Have Tungsten or LaB 6 Filament type; 9. Have a resolution of 1-3 nanometers; 10. Have a standard stage mount; and motion control 11. Be able to use low pressure environment (can be an option or upgrade later on).
