Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Jacksonville, has a requirement for laundry/cleaning services for the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC), and Directorate of Transitional Personnel (DTP), located at Naval Weapons Station, Goose Creek, SC. The contractor shall pickup from, account for and deliver to WPNSTA CHASN Buildings 304 and 2401, Goose Creek, SC such items as sheets, pillowcases, blankets, bedspreads, and mattress pads after being washed, dried, pressed, and folded. In addition, sheets and pillowcases are shrink-wrapped. This is for base period 01 Jan 08-30 Sep 08 with four (3) one year options. Interested small business concerns should email Arleen.Starks@navy.mil to confirm interest. Solicitation will be posted on or about 01 October 2007. Pick up and delivery for regular laundry is every Tuesday and delivery will be the following Tuesday. Mass graduation laundry (approximately every six weeks) is picked up in the afternoon of Graduation Friday, at approximately 1800 and must be returned no later than 10 days after pick-up. Pickup and deliveries scheduled on holidays will be before the holiday or not later than the next scheduled workday.
