Description
This requirement is for the overhaul of E-3 Klystron Power Amplifier Tubes. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish repair, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the E-3 Klystron Power Amplifier Tubes. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. The items and quantities are at follows: Item 0001: Overhaul NSN: 5960-01-096-3457AW, P/N: 581R088H16, Qty: 8 each. Item 0002: Overhaul NSN: 5960-01-094-9540AW, P/N: 581R088H17, Qty: 6 each. Item 0003: Data IAW DD1423 and Appendix B. Item 0004: Over and Above Work. Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from the Production Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): 2 each per month beginning 8 months after receipt of order or reparable. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additional sources. APPROVED SOURCE is: L-3 Communications, Cage Code 80080. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 31 May 2007. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
