- This is a notice of intent to issue a delivery order to Motorola on a sole source basis. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the Southern Region Contracting Center West, Fort Sam Houston, TX intends to award a SOLE SOURCE delivery order against a GS A contract held by MOTOROLA. This notice is not a formal solicitation and is not a request for quotation or proposal. The award will consist primarily of the following items/configurations: 23 each - Portable Astro Digital XTS 5000, Various Models; 2 3 each - Astro Digital Software, PN: Q806BA; 23 each, ENH: Project 25 9600 Baud Trunking, PN: Q361AK; 23 each - Smartzone System Software PN: H38BR; 34 each - IMPRES Smart Charger, Rapid rate; 5 each XTS2500 Radio; 100 each Dust cover; 30 each Antenna, Wideband Whip 380-520Mhz; 60 each IMPRES Smart NIMH, FM 2000 MAH. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334220, Size Standard is 750 employees. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no responses are received by 4:00 p.m. CDT, Sep 28, 2007, the Government reserves the right to execute an award without publishing a solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Gov ernment.
