- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The 18th Contracting Squadron at Kadena AB, Okinawa Japan intends to award a purchase order for a book lease program at Kadena AB Library. This acquisition will be accomplished in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and will be based on competitive quotes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 424920. The Solicitation Number is FA5270-07-T-0068 and is issued as a Request for Quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09. The following provisions and clauses can be viewed through Internet access at the Air Force FAR Site. Web address is http://farsite.hill.af.mil. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial (September 2006), 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items (January 1999), 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial items (September 2007), 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial (February 2007), and 52.232-18 -- Availability of Funds (April 1984) applies to this acquisition. Offerors must include with their quotation a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 (September 2007) Requirement is as follows: DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES 1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES/GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1. NONPERSONAL SERVICES The contractor shall provide all management, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision and labor necessary to provide the book leasing and purchase plan as follows: 1.1.1. Adult McNaughton Book Lease Plan (G7B6) or equal. Allowable minimum inventory of 600 items with a minimum monthly new book allowance of 60 and a minimum annual new book allowance of 720. 1.1.2. Young Adult McNaughton Book Lease Plan (YGB4) or equal. Allowable minimum inventory of 800 items with a minimum monthly new book allowance of 40 and a minimum annual new book allowance of 480. 1.1.3. Children?s Hardcover Purchase Plan (GPC7) or equal. Monthly minimum point allowance of 210 with a minimum annual point allowance of 2520. *NOTE* Please contact for point plan. 2. GENERAL INFORMATION 2.1. QUALITY ASSURANCE. The government will periodically evaluate the contractors performance by appointing a Contracting Officers Representative (COR) to monitor performance in accordance with this Statement of Work. The contractor shall coordinate all aspects of this project with the designated COR. Offerors quotation must be good through 31 October 2007.
