Description

Sir Description: The Federal Aviation Administration Western-Pacific Region; Hereby announces its intention to solicit a request for Offers (RFO). Awards resulting from the (RFO) will be based on best value to the FAA giving consideration to: (1) Total cost to the FAA, and (2) Offeror's past performance and experience with the same similar work. The successful offeror shall furnish all necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, tools, and supervision necessary in the performance of the Construction Services at Palo Alto and Palomar (ATCT) Facility. The project is consists of the construction and installation of a 10-foot chain link fence including a pedestrian gates and vehicle-sliding gate with gate operator around Palo Alto Air Traffic Control Tower and Palomar Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) property located in the city of Palo Atlo and Palomar, CA. The works consist of but not limited to site preparation, utilities, trenching and backfilling to accommodate new underground conduits and grounding conductors. Construction also includes installation of key the keypad access control, CCTV Camera and Intercom including associated wires. Contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials (except government furnished), services, equipment, insurance, bond, licenses, permits and fees for the installation of a New Fence and Gate at Palo Alto Traffic Control Tower and Palomar Air Traffic Control Tower in Palo Alto, and Palomar California. . Work includes furnishing and installing chain link fence with gates and gate operator; installation of perimeter fence grounding; installation of gate access control, intercom and surveillance system; restoration of areas disturbed during construction; and the construction and installation of appurtenances as specified herein or indicated by drawing. Request for a Solicitation packet must IDENTIFY THE SOLICITATION NUMBER AND MUST BE REQUESTED VIA FACSIMILE (310) 725-6842. VERBAL OR TELEPHONIC REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORNED, however, if you have question contact Mark Fowler at (310) 725-7543. A request for a solicitation package must be received no later than October 5, 2007. Any request for a solicitation received after this date, regardless of how transmitted, will not be honored. The contractors who early requested this solicitation do not need to request again, as your initial request is still valid. This Notice is for the information purpose for Minority, Women Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT, Office of Small and assist small Disadvantaged Businesses Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-terms working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is 7500,000. For further information and applicable forms concerning the STPL, call the OSDBU at (800) 532-1169. The FAA will evaluate offers in response to this solicitation and will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, provides the "Best Value to the FAA. The award criteria will be clearly defined in the solicitation. The solicitation for this project will not be issued until the closing date of this announcement to ensure equal response time. However the Drawing and the scope of the work will be emailed to you 1 business day or the close of the Announcement after receipt of your request. The FAA may make and award without communication or negotiation; however, communicates and/or negotiation may be conducted to determine the best value to the FAA. The FAA also reserves the right to cancel, terminate this request for solicitation/RFO at any time before, during or after the closing Date.
