- Sources Sought for 8(a), Hubzone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, and Small Business Set-aside Concerns. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires the services of closing agent contractor to perform all necessary closing activities on its behalf on HUD-owned single-family properties located in the State of Iowa under the jurisdiction of the Santa Ana Homeownership Center (SAHOC), Santa Ana, California. These services shall include, but are not limited to, the following activities: closings are completed and reconciled in the shortest time frame possible, but no later than the date specified in the sales contract; sales proceeds are accurately and timely wired to the United States Treasury; closings are accomplished with error-free closing documents. The Contractor shall provide a fully staffed and equipped office (“primary” office), and shall furnish the necessary satellite offices, services, personnel, training of personnel, materials, equipment, facilities and transportation to perform all closing services. The contract will be for a base period of 12 months and four – twelve month option periods. The estimated value of the contract (base plus 4 options) is $2,225,000. The NAICS code 541191 with size standard of $6.5 million. Interested small business concerns need to respond to this inquiry by March 29, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. (PST-Local time). The information provided will be used to determine if the requirement should be set-aside for one of the identified small business categories. Failure to provide the mandatory required information in order for a preliminary assessment to be made will result being advertised for other types of competition. The incumbent contractor or the closing agent contractor is Rhodes and Associates of Cedar Rapids, IA. The request for such documents without the mandatory requested information will be considered non-responsive and no further consideration will be made. Mandatory required information: Provide five (5) most recent contracts for which they provided the same or similar services, either ongoing or completed within the last three (3) years. Information older than three (3) years will not be considered. The information required is a description of the service contracts in sufficient detail to convey the types of services, size, complexity, place of performance, and current (reachable) point-of-contact consisting of persons name, phone number, title, and company name. Failure to provide reachable point-of-contacts so an acceptable preliminary assessment can be made will result in no further consideration. Provide additional information concerning your company such as breath of experience, office locations, subcontracting arrangements, small business category, etc. The submittal is to a total of 10 pages of information that will be considered.
