- Questions asked and answers: Please provide the manufacturer name and product # for the following materials Wall paint ICI Gloss Enamel White 330-16 Door frame paint ICI 1507-0500 Blue Door Jambs Vinyl wall covering MDC Wall Coverings Bolta Contract 3 Volume Set Pattern BBPG20/4131 Papier Grid Watercolor Carpet Milliken Contract P/6115 Colorweave Opal Gem Also ? please clarify the following for the fire protection scope of work: ? Sheet 3FP-101 indicates to cap existing 6? fire supply in tunnel, remove 6? fire main in tunnel and cap branch to existing fire hose cabinets. Please clarify if this work is to be performed in phase 3(this work) or if this work has been performed under previous contract? This work performed in previous contract. Work for phase 3 begins at the 4" valve capped above ceiling. ? Sheet 3FP-102 indicates the attic above the auditorium to have sprinklers installed. Please clarify if these new sprinkler have been installed or if the intent is to install in phase 3? The attic is to be sprinkled in phase 3. ? Section 3.4.1 page 14 of the specs state that earthquake protection shall be utilized ? please clarify if the earthquake protection methods are required in phase 3? It is our understanding that the previous phases did not have this requirement. Earthquake protection is not required Sheet C-101 illustrates the removal of concrete paving ? please clarify if this work will be performed in phase 3? NO the hatched walk west of the building was removed under phase 1. Add to note 1 ( With circle) the following: Remove any damaged concrete back to nearest joint. Fill & compact subgrade to 95%. 4" conc. slab w/ 6x6 # 10 w.m. Sheet C-101 illustrates to plug, abandon and fill existing underground storm piping ? please clarify if this work is to be performed in phase 3? No This work was under phase1. Sheet 3AD-101 Demolition note # 15 states to ?remove & recycle existing carpet? ? please clarify if the intent is to recycle for re-use or recycle via disposal in other method than a landfill. The carpet may be removed and donated to a public facility or recycled by a company such as SHAW or Millikan ( Not disposed of ina landfield). Contractor to furnish certificate of compliance. Sheet 3PP-101 ? in the womens restroom the drawing illustrates two P-6 fixtures on the wall opposite the toilets and toilet partitions. Does this allow ample space between the fixture and the toilet partition for handicap access with respect to the ADA regulations? Please clarify? Lavatory cannot be greater than 18" deep. In the demolition drawings - "demolition notes" note #11 calls for the ceilings, lights, grills ect to be completely removed and in the mechanical drawings it does not indicate new ceiling diffusers and grills nor does it have a schedule for them in the drawings. our question is are we to reuse the ones we take out or if we are to replace with new what grill product do we use to replace? Replace w/ new to match in previous phase. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (17-JUL-2007).
