- Questions There is a note on 3A-403, which states ?Install one new sign @ all existing doors on corridors?. Does the government intend for the contractor to install new signs at the pair of stairwell doors and/or South Wing corridor? If so, will signs go on both sides of the door according to the detail? See addendum #2 In the renovation notes: No. 23 states to ?Install new hardware after refinishing door, see specs?. With all the existing doors to be refinished on the West Wing, 1st floor the hardware specs only identify men?s (104) and women?s (108) bathrooms to install Hardware Set 6. Does the government intend for the contractor to replace any other hardware sets after doors are refinished on any other floor on the east and west wings? See addendum #2 The hardware schedule identifies hardware sets to be installed on the following doors: 1. HW Set 2-Door 100b, 2. HW Set 6 ? Door 110 & 110a. Doors and frames at 110a and 110b is for Comm Room 110a. Should Hardware Set 2 be installed on Door 110a and 110b? See addendum #2 . On floor plans 101, 102, and 103 (not on 104) there is plan symbol "E" at the "pair opening" leading to existing stair "work not in contract". Are these required? If so, additional hardware must be indicated since all other "E" symbol doors will receive a new lockset only and these pairs need fire exit devices due to their location. See addendum #2 b. Section 08710 - Finish hardware has many hardware sets with many doors numbered therein. For the new openings at alcove and communications these doors are listed under SET 6 which is for a single opening. The pair openings at communication require additional items and should be listed under SET 11 most likely. All new door nos. on the plans were not found listed in the hardware sets. See addendum #2 c. Section 10800 - Toilet accessories has many items listed, named, etc. But the plans indicate only new toilet tissue dispensers, grab bars, and mirrors to be installed. Are these other items required? Only the items listed above. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (13-AUG-2007).
