- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering and Logistics Center has a requirement to overhaul BF Goodrich, Fairbanks Morse Superchargers, Stock Numbers 2990-01-138-8503 and 2990-01-247-2267. The Coast Guard does not possess the technical specification, drawings, etc., required to complete the overhauls. Overhauls must be in accordance with current OEM specifications and standards and use only OEM parts. It is the Government's belief that only Fairbanks Morse, Engine Division has the capability to overhaul these Superchargers. Industry has been given the opportunity to submit verification of their capabilities in the Notice posted in the Commerce Business Daily on 20 June 2007. The Government intends to solicit ONLY BF Goodrich, Fairbanks Morse Engine Division and/or their authorized repair facilities. It is anticipated that a sole source, requirements type contract, consisting of a base year and 4 (four) options will be issued. All responsive and responsible firms may submit an offer which will be considered by this agency. The Request for Proposal (RFP) and all associated documents will tentatively be issued on or about 30 August 2007. Requests for copies of the solicitation are NOT available to be mailed. It is incumbent upon potential offerors to monitor the EPS system for the RFP and all subsequent amendments. Solicitation documents will only be made available via the Internet at www.eps.gov via FedBizzOpps.
