Description
This Acquisition is being conducted under FAR 13.5 test Procedures for commercial items. The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.5) with AMO USA, Inc., 1700 E St. Andrew Place, Santa Ana, CA 92705-4933. The Government has an inventory of VISX equipment. The VISX equipment can only use the CustomVue Treatment Cards for VISX Start Excimer Laser as they are the only approved items for their systems. Specifically, there is a requirement for CustomVue Treatment Cards for use with their VISX Photo Refractive Keratectomy (PRK) system. This system is used for delicate surgical procedures on the patient?s eyes. The contractor shall provide 192 each CustomVue Treatment Cards for VISX Start Excimer Laser for Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, CA. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 13.3). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339115 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data, including price, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same support service. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to acquisitions@nmlc.med.navy.mil (In suject line, reference Code 023P). Statements are due by COB 25 September 2007. No phone calls accepted.
