- The U S Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases has a requirement for continue leases of a 56X 36 modular building unit. This unit provides space for personnel and equipment. This is a notice of intent to award renew the leases of this building with Williams Scotsman, 7539 Harmans Road, Harman, Maryland 21077 on an other than full and open competition basis. This is an integral part of USAMRIID and is not separable from the other facilities at the institute. Soliciting and competi ng this action would not result in a cost benefit to the Government based on delivery and installation costs of new buildings. The replacement of these at this time buildings would not be in the Government best interest and would disrupt the critical rese arch mission of USAMRIID. This is not a request for a competitive quote. Any response to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Government providing clear and convincing evidence that the contractor is capable of performing the technical requireme nts and that competition of this and future requirements of this nature would be advantageous to the Government. Your response should include your company qualifications, experience, past performance and proposed costs or pricing for this or similar work. All responses will be considered, but the Contracting Officer retains the right to determine the procurement strategy, based on available information. If no written responses are received by 12:00 PM eastern standard time on September 28, 2007, the contr act will be awarded without further notice. The solicitation with contract terms and the statement of work is provided with this notice. Please provide your response to pamela.nevels@amedd.army.mil by September 28, 2007.
