Description
The U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC) has a requirement for non-personal services of a prestigious, nationally recognized, accredited college or university, to award the graduate credit hours to Department of Defense (DoD) students who successfully complete the nine week Principles of Military Preventive Medicine (6A-F5) Program of Instruction (POI). The 6A-F5 POI, referred to herein as The Program, consists of graduate level Epidemiology, Industrial Hygiene , Environmental Science, Health Services Administration, and Community Health Assessment topics. The Program will be taught three times per fiscal year, starting in October 2007, by Government personnel under the supervision of the government Program Director, at the Academy of Health Sciences (AHS), Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The number of academic p eriods involved in this program is 360 contact hours. The contractor, in conjunction with the Program Director, 6A-F5 program, shall evaluate actual clock hours to determine equitable semester hours. Depending upon the student specialty track (Clinical o r Sciences) each student would receive a letter grade for between six and nine graduate credits. The balance of time spent in instruction will be reflected on the students transcript as pass/fail credits in an amount to be determined by the contracted in stitution and the government. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is the responsibility ofg the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to ant of the documents. All prospective offerors interes ted in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must have a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. The anticipated contract period of performance will be from contract award through 30 September 2008 with four one-year option periods. Telephone an d faxed requests will not be honored.
