- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Director of Contracting, Fort Polk, Louisiana intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with SPEC OPS for the acquisition of the following commercial items: (4) Model Dual 420 0 ST and (2) Model RTOC 2100 SB. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1) and (FAR 13.501). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the req uirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 2 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in SUFFICIENT detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Governmen t. If no responses are received, the Gove rnment will proceed with the sole source negotiation. Responses are due on 27 September 2007 by 11 am. EST. Responses and requests for detailed information on acquisition requirements shall be submitted via e-mail to sherry.mammano@us.army.mil. Telephone r equests or inquiries will not be accepted.
